This motion graphic video celebrates the rich history and cultural significance of the Florence neighborhood in Los Angeles. Presented at a Wells Fargo branch located at the intersection of Florence and Central Avenues, the video explores the area’s development, from the industries that shaped its early economy to the vibrant community that thrives there today. Combining archival imagery with contemporary photography by a local artist, the piece serves as both an educational showcase and a
heartfelt tribute to the neighborhood’s legacy.

As Art Director and Animator, I played a key role in bringing this project to life by shaping its visual and narrative direction. Working alongside a researcher, I helped develop the storyboard and refine the story to highlight the neighborhood’s historical
and cultural impact. Using archival images and original photographs from a local photographer, I animated the video to create a dynamic, visually engaging piece that reflects the community’s spirit and identity.
