The Eccles and First Security Heritage Mural, prominently displayed in the Wells Fargo
Center lobby in Salt Lake City, Utah, celebrates the pivotal contributions of the Eccles family.
This large-scale mural chronicles the family’s role in Utah’s economic development and
First Security Corporation’s banking legacy. Created in collaboration with the George S.
and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation and informed by extensive research, the narrative was refined through multiple iterations to ensure historical accuracy and compelling storytelling. Designed in Photoshop, printed on adhesive vinyl, and installed in a high-traffic space, the mural is accompanied by a legend key providing detailed captions. Framed replicas and informational handouts were also created for distribution at the unveiling to media, dignitaries, and family members.

I led the creative direction and designed the mural, collaborating with the Eccles Foundation and lead researcher to develop the content and visual narrative. Partnered with a project manager to meet deadlines and coordinated vendor production and installation. I designed
a legend key and handouts providing captions for the mural’s imagery, along with framed replicas to be presented as gifts at the unveiling event.
